He also signed peace \u200ddeals with several rebel groups this year.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2060main opposition coalition, known by its French acronym BRDC, boycotted the election, saying it would not be fair.<\/p>\n<p>Even before the results were announced, Dologuele and Dondra had cast doubt on their credibility, calling separate news conferences to denounce what they described as election fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Dologuele, the runner-up in the 2020 election, told a news conference on Friday that there had been \u201ca methodical attempt to manipulate\u201d the outcome.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Central African people spoke on December 28,\u201d Dologuele said. \u201cThey expressed a clear desire for change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Touadera\u2019s government has denied \u200bthat any fraud took place.<\/p>\n<p>The Constitutional Court has until January 20 to adjudicate any \u200cchallenges and declare definitive results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Provisional results show Faustin-Archange Touadera received 76.15 percent of the vote in December 28 election.
