The goal is to reduce unplanned litters.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A low-cost spay and neuter clinic in Jacksonville is bringing its prices even lower for more dogs throughout Duval County.

EveryPet announced that its clinic on Norwood Avenue is now offering free spay and neuter surgeries through a new program called “Operation Big Fix.”

The clinic already provided free surgeries for community cats and certain low-income or government-assisted pet owners, but Operation Big Fix greatly expands eligibility.

The clinic said it was able to create the program using new funding from Dogs Trust, a dog welfare charity.

The announcement comes after a busy year for Jacksonville animal shelters. In 2025, intakes increased again at Animal Care & Protective Services, and the Jacksonville Humane Society reached more than 10,000 intakes for the first time in 20 years.

“This program helps reduce financial and scheduling barriers while reducing unplanned litters and shelter intake,” according to the clinic’s website.

To participate in the program, dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations and live in one of the following zip codes:

32204

32206

32208

32210

32218

32244

32254

EveryPet says the program is designed to increase spay and neuter access in underserved communities.

Owners will be asked to provide proof of address with a valid government-issued ID. If a dog is not current on their rabies vaccinations, it must be given on the day of surgery at a cost to the owner.

While having the surgery done, owners can also pay for other services like microchipping, helping to increase the chances of return if they ever get lost.

To schedule an appointment, owners can call EveryPet’s phone bank at (904)-425-0005.

EveryPet is expanding its services to include free spay and neuter surgeries for dogs in certain Duval County…

[5136
5229,3188,723,7310,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-495880","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-jacksonville","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-fl","10":"tag-florida","11":"tag-jacksonville","12":"tag-united-states","13":"tag-united-states-of-america","14":"tag-unitedstates","15":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","16":"tag-us","17":"tag-usa
["GET
