Mickey Rourke<\/strong> may have fallen on hard times, but he\u2019s got several people reaching out to offer help, including director Eric Spade Rivas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rivas, who is directing the Scarface spinoff Scarface: Resurrection, has offered Rourke, 73, a cameo in the upcoming film and is willing to pay him $1,000, according to a report from TMZ<\/a> published on Monday, January 5.<\/p>\n

This wouldn\u2019t be the first time Rivas has tried to work with Rourke. According to the outlet, the 9 \u00bd Weeks star signed on for a role in The Duke of New York, an indie film Rivas was working on in 2020. Rourke was allegedly offered $5,000 for the role, but he ultimately ended up backing out.<\/p>\n

Despite their rocky past, Rivas told TMZ that there was no \u201cbad blood\u201d between the two men and even explained that he felt bad about how the situation panned out. Now, he hopes to help Rourke out with a new role in Scarface: Resurrection.<\/p>\n

Rivas also said that he wished he could offer Rourke more money for the cameo, but $1,000 is as high as he can go at the moment.<\/p>\n

As The National Enquirer previously reported<\/a>, Rourke recently turned to fans to ask for help in an effort to avoid being evicted from his home<\/a> in Los Angeles. Liya-Joelle Jones<\/strong>, a member of the Wrestler actor\u2019s management team, started a GoFundMe<\/a> titled \u201cHelp Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home\u201d on Sunday, January 4.<\/p>\n

At the time of publication, the fundraiser has raked in almost $85,000.<\/p>\n
