HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A mother opened fire during an altercation involving juveniles at an apartment in north Harris County, leaving one juvenile hospitalized, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.<\/p>\n

Deputies said they responded to an in-progress call at an apartment complex at 15314 Kuykendahl Road at about 7:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information, a group of juveniles were fighting when a mother showed up and fired a weapon.<\/p>\n

Authorities said one juvenile male was struck. He was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.<\/p>\n

Several people are detained at the scene, HCSO said.<\/p>\n
