\n\tThe \u201cHeated Rivalry<\/a>\u201d takeover continues. Connor Storrie<\/a>, who portrays Ilya Rozanov on the Crave\/HBO Max hit, will make his late-night television debut on \u201cLate Night with Seth Meyers<\/a>\u201d on Monday, January 12.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news comes one day after it was announced that his costar, Hudson Williams, will make his late-night TV debut on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u201d on Wednesday, January 7.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince the series debuted in November, it has become a smash hit<\/a> for both Bell Media\u2019s Crave in Canada and HBO Max, who acquired the series right before it was released.<\/p>\n

\n\tAn adaptation of the \u201cGame Changers\u201d novels, \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d tells the love story between Ilya and Shane Hollander (Williams), two closeted hockey players who get into a secret romantic relationship; over the course of the six episodes, the relationship grows from purely physical to deeply romantic. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the finale<\/a>, the duo finally gets to spend two weeks together and exchange \u201cI love yous.\u201d Their relationship is also revealed to Shane\u2019s parents and Ilya stays by his side as he comes out.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat was the element of the story that I was most excited to get to because it\u2019s really cool the way that [creator] Jacob Tierney wrote it,\u201d Storrie recently told Variety about the finale at the cottage<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s this kind of cool crescendo where it was so fast and rapid \u2014 the editing, the writing \u2013 with so much energy upfront, and then it kind of lands and we\u2019re just two people in a house for a few days.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cAs an actor, that\u2019s where a lot of the cool acting moments are, where we really get to sit in some of those scenes for a long, long time. It\u2019s kind of the episode where there\u2019s officially a catharsis. People don\u2019t realize, because of all the intimate scenes, but this story really is about people falling in love at a distance.
