{"id":497375,"date":"2026-01-06T21:22:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T21:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/497375\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T21:22:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T21:22:12","slug":"ai-startup-lmarena-triples-its-valuation-to-1-7-billion-in-latest-fundraise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/497375\/","title":{"rendered":"AI startup LMArena triples its valuation to $1.7 billion in latest fundraise"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-7hmkaz\">Jan 6 (Reuters) &#8211; LMArena said on Tuesday its valuation had tripled to $1.7 billion in about \u200beight months, following a new funding round where \u200cit raised $150 million, as investors continue to pour money into <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial \u200cintelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artificial \u200cintelligence<\/a> startups.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-7hmkaz\">Investor enthusiasm for generative AI surged after ChatGPT&#8217;s launch in 2022 showed its commercilization potential, leading to a race for adoption and a scramble on \u2060Wall Street for exposure \u200cto key firms in the boom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-7hmkaz\">LMArena, formerly known as Chatbot Arena, is a web\u2011based \u200dplatform that allows users to compare large language models, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/organizations\/openai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:OpenAI;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OpenAI<\/a>&#8216;s ChatGPT, Anthropic&#8217;s Claude and Google&#8217;s Gemini, through anonymous, \u200bcrowd-sourced evaluations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-7hmkaz\">&#8220;To measure the real utility of AI, \u200cwe need to put it in the hands of real users.
