{"id":497406,"date":"2026-01-06T21:43:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T21:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/497406\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T21:43:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T21:43:14","slug":"jso-officer-accused-of-grand-theft-corrections-officer-accused-of-exposing-himself-to-co-worker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/497406\/","title":{"rendered":"JSO officer accused of grand theft, corrections officer accused of exposing himself to co-worker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office on Tuesday announced the arrest of a police officer accused of grand theft and a corrections officer accused of battery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Undersheriff Shawn Coarsey said on Dec. 30, former corrections officer Taaron Clayton was arrested on one count of battery, a first-degree misdemeanor. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">JSO said it received a complaint that Clayton \u201cexposed his genitals to a victim and grabbed her hips.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">An arrest report stated the alleged victim was a coworker. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Coarsey said he was arrested and he was immediately fired. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Clayton was employed for nine months.
