PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A child has been rushed to the hospital after a reported shooting at a south Phoenix townhome on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

It happened at the Somo Lofts near 32nd Street and Broadway Road<\/a> shortly after 12:30 p.m. Details remain limited at this time, but a police spokesperson confirmed that a child was shot in the face.<\/p>\n

The child, whose age hasn\u2019t been released, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n

An Arizona\u2019s Family drone operator witnessed a heavy law enforcement presence as multiple Phoenix police SUVs surrounded the complex. Crime scene tape is blocking most of the road as authorities sweep the area. <\/p>\n

The circumstances of the shooting have not been released, but police don\u2019t believe the child\u2019s injuries are life-threatening. The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
