{"id":49772,"date":"2025-07-08T22:04:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T22:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/49772\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T22:04:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T22:04:08","slug":"la-rams-owner-kroenke-ranks-no-1-for-most-valuable-sports-empire-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/49772\/","title":{"rendered":"LA Rams owner Kroenke ranks No. 1 for most valuable sports empire \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the value of sports teams increase, the worth of sports ownership groups also is on the rise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And, no sports empire has soared higher than that of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/tag\/los-angeles-rams\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/tag\/los-angeles-rams\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> owner Stan Kroenke.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/07\/08\/cnbcs-most-valuable-sports-empires-2025-how-the-worlds-top-20-empires-rank.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CNBC\u2019s latest report<\/a> on the most valuable sports ownership groups ranked Kroenke Sports &amp; Entertainment first on the list with a value of $21.17 billion. Kroenke\u2019s team portfolio includes the NFL\u2019s LA Rams, NBA\u2019s Denver Nuggets, NHL\u2019s Colorado Avalanche and the English Premier League\u2019s Arsenal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He owns SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, where the Rams and also the LA Chargers play their home games.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In April, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/sports\/rams-village-woodland-hills-warner-center\/3672535\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/sports\/rams-village-woodland-hills-warner-center\/3672535\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">plans were announced<\/a> by the Kroenke Organization for a multi-purpose development in the west San Fernando Valley that includes the Rams headquarters and training center alongside a residential and retail project.<\/p>\n<p>Kroenke managed to triumph over the Jones Family who were valued at second with $15.53 billion including ownership of the NFL&#8217;s most valuable franchise the Dallas Cowboys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Farther down the list placed Philip Anschutz\u2019s ownership group AEG Worldwide with a value of $11.99 billion. His portfolio includes the NHL\u2019s LA Kings, MLS\u2019s LA Galaxy, Crypto.com Arena, T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the O2 in London.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>More sports empires will soon be contesting the list after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/06\/18\/lakers-owners-buss-family-sell-majority-stake-valuation.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buss family agreed<\/a> to sell a majority stake of the LA Lakers to businessman Mark Walter in June. This will be Walter\u2019s third LA team in his ownership group after the MLB team LA Dodgers and LA Sparks of the WNBA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Walter is the CEO of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/who-is-mark-walter-lakers\/3727714\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Guggenheim Partners<\/a>, a global investment firm which through it agreed to buy a controlling interest in the 17-time NBA champions for $10 billion.
