Officers went to the unit and found an infant with what police described as \u201csignificant\u201d injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The baby was taken to a nearby hospital, where they died.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the woman was taken into custody then to Santa Monica Jail. It\u2019s unclear what charges she may face in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Santa Monica police said it would not release the names of the woman and the baby at this time.
