Xreal is now &#8220;a lead hardware partner&#8221; for Android XR, Google&#8217;s operating system for XR\/VR\/AR headsets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1767757630_26_gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"Xreal's goes all-in with Android XR, announces deepened collaboration with Google\"\/><\/p>\n<p>As such, Xreal&#8217;s upcoming products, including the Project Aura, will use Android XR. Project Aura is coming later this year. Xreal says it will further collaborate with Google on &#8220;bringing Android XR to optical see-through devices, like wired XR glasses&#8221;, and the two companies will also work together to &#8220;expand support for Android XR development&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>More details are expected later this year, along with the consumer launch of Project Aura.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-source\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/google-and-xreal-extend-strategic-partnership-302651358.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Today at CES Xreal announced a multi-year extension of its strategic partnership with Google.
