Green Jeremy Valeriote in West Vancouver-Sea to Sky.<\/p>\n<p>In that election, the Conservatives came within a few seats of forming government, but have since been dogged by a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/british-columbia\/b-c-conservatives-lose-another-mla-9.6945759\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defections <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/british-columbia\/dallas-brodie-removed-from-b-c-conservative-caucus-1.7478162\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dismissals <\/a>from the party that culminated with former leader John Rustad resigning in December, and debates over what the party&#8217;s future focus should be. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have focused on culture war issues and, and at the same time we have a group of MLA&#8217;s and there&#8217;s a part of the base that wants to focus on fiscal issues,&#8221; said Angelo Isidorou, executive director of the party. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I really fundamentally believe we can walk and chew gum at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fulmer seems to want to focus on the fiscal issues: after speaking about affordability multiple times, he was asked if he would also focus his campaign on social issues like sex education curriculum or freedom of speech.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s not about my agenda, it&#8217;s about the agenda that British Columbians tell me is important to them,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And really what I hear from them is it&#8217;s about affordability, it&#8217;s about healthcare, it&#8217;s about public safety, and it&#8217;s about the economy.
