The nominations for the 32nd Actor Awards<\/a> \u2014 formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards \u2014 were announced Wednesday morning. And, as recently elected SAG-AFTRA President Sean Astin<\/a> emphasized during his opening remarks, what distinguishes the Actor Awards from other honors is that \u201cit is created exclusively by actors and for actors.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cOne Battle After Another<\/a>\u201d led the film side. Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s black comedy earned seven total nods, including individual performance recognition for actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn. The film was also nominated for its cast and stunt ensemble. <\/p>\n Also among the top film nominees was Ryan Coogler\u2019s genre-defying musical horror \u201cSinners<\/a>,\u201d with five. Actors Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku and Miles Caton each earned individual nominations for their performances. The film\u2019s cast and stunt ensemble were also nominated in their respective categories. <\/p>\n The casts of \u201cFrankenstein<\/a>,\u201d \u201cHamnet<\/a>\u201d and \u201cMarty Supreme<\/a>\u201d rounded out the nominees in the top film category. <\/p>\n On the TV side, industry satire \u201cThe Studio<\/a>\u201d showed its might with five noms.
