Over the years, <a href=\"https:\/\/ertantorgul.com\/\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ertan Torgul<\/a>\u00a0has developed multiple duties with the group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, I play the violin, and then I try to actually run the group. You know, arrange concerts and book guest artists and arrange their stays,\u201d Torgul said.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"Image\" alt=\"Evoto\"  width=\"880\" height=\"660\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1767836831_616_.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>For their next performance, they will feature guest artist mezzo-soprano Kelley O\u2019Connor for an event on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall at Trinity University, as part of their &#8220;Future Focus&#8221; series. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c&#8217;Future Focus&#8217;\u00a0is designed to bring guest artists from &#8230; it could be San Antonio, it could be Texas, it could be the whole nation or the world for that matter,\u201d Torgul said. \u201cBringing guest artists \u2014 whether they&#8217;re composers or performers \u2014 and have them engage with us in a maximum way, whether that&#8217;s a new commission that they write for Soli, whether we record that for a future release, they will be involved in creating concerts with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"Image\" alt=\"\"  width=\"880\" height=\"1320\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1767836832_935_.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Emma Kruch and Ben Dashwood <\/p>\n<p>         Kelley O&#8217;Connor<\/p>\n<p>Grammy-winning Kelley O&#8217;Connor is the singer who is Soli\u2019s next guest, for a free concert. <\/p>\n<p>Torgul said the &#8220;Future Focus&#8221; programs put master musicians in the presence of young musicians who are trying to find their footing in the musical world.<\/p>\n<p>Torgul added that the program is designed to bring the greats to the Alamo City for performances and workshops with high school and college students. <\/p>\n<p>Over O\u2019Connor\u2019s 10-day stay here, she\u2019ll be giving workshops at high schools and colleges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe the most important part of it is the aspect that we&#8217;re taking them out to the community, to the students, to the adult learners and to the young students, to expose them to what these artists have achieved throughout their lives,\u201d he said. \u201cHave them give advice. Have them do workshops and teach them things that they might not know yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SOLI Chamber Ensemble, DISCOVER SOLI<\/p>\n<p>Singer Kelley O\u2019Connor will perform with Soli for free on Tuesday, January 20, at Trinity University.
