PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Home security video revealed the moments leading up to when a 4-year-old was shot in the face in south Phoenix<\/a> Tuesday. <\/p>\n

In the video, you can hear a woman demand that someone come out. Seconds later, the woman pulls out what appears to be a rifle and shoots near 32nd Street and Broadway Road<\/a> shortly after 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The bullet hit 4-year-old Qahsiem Sinclair. \u201cJustice for Qahsiem,\u201d said Meishaq Sinclair, father of Qahsiem. \u201cYes, justice for Qahsiem,\u201d said Laresha Mason, Qahsiem\u2019s grandmother.<\/p>\n

Sinclair has been by his son\u2019s side at the hospital ever since that act of violence. \u201cTaking it day by day,\u201d said Sinclair. \u201cIt\u2019s tragic. It sucks but I\u2019m glad my son is still here.\u201d<\/p>\n

While police have not released much information about what led to the shooting, Sinclair claimed the shooter was his brother\u2019s ex-girlfriend. He said she showed up at their house. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother\u2019s (ex) girlfriend was outside the house going crazy and as I\u2019m about to go see what\u2019s going on, my older brother tells me to stay back. \u2018I\u2019m going to go talk to her.\u2019 My son, he thought when my brother was going outside, he thought it was time to go outside and grabbed his scooter. As soon as the first person opened the door, happened to be my son walking out with his scooter, she still did what she did. She saw the kid right there and still decided to do what she did. We need justice for Qahsiem,\u201d said Sinclair.<\/p>\n

After the shooting, you can hear some yelling before the shooter gets in a vehicle and drives away. \u201cI heard a scream and I just ran down and grabbed my son and damn near fainted a couple times. There was so much blood,\u201d said Sinclair.<\/p>\n

Sinclair said anger doesn\u2019t even begin to describe what he feels for the person who hurt his son. \u201cYou hurt a 4-year-old kid, an innocent baby. All he did was smile,\u201d said Sinclair. \u201cI\u2019m just so mad. He\u2019s just so friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it will be a long road to recovery, Sinclair said he\u2019s grateful the bullet wasn\u2019t deadly or caused more damage to his son\u2019s face. He said his son has to be on a liquid diet until his face heals up, but that he\u2019s grateful his son is still alive.<\/p>\n
