MOUNT HOPE, Bronx (WABC) — The NYPD has released an image of the man wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a rideshare driver<\/a> in the Bronx on New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n

Police are looking for 24-year-old Ehinel Troncoso after 55-year-old Issa Isac, an African immigrant and rideshare driver, was found shot to death with gunshot wounds to his head inside his Blue Toyota Rav 4 just before 7 a.m. along Morris Avenue in Mount Hope.<\/p>\n

He was discovered while firefighters were responding to a car fire.<\/p>\n

Police believe Isac was New York City’s first homicide of the year.<\/p>\n

Dark and snowy surveillance video shows Isac putting his car into reverse when a man approaches the driver’s side window and starts banging out the window.<\/p>\n

Isacs speeds off, and then two men are seen running after his car.<\/p>\n

He ended a 12-hour overnight shift driving for Uber just before he was involved in an apparent minor accident.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe he may have been shot by another driver after a minor fender-bender went wrong.<\/p>\n

The 55-year-old had only been a driver for Uber for 5 years after selling his medallion to purchase a home.<\/p>\n

An organization representing livery drivers is offering a $10,000 reward for information about the killing.<\/p>\n
