SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. \u2014 The world’s No. 1 golfer, Scottie Scheffler, committed to playing in the WM Phoenix Open in February, organizers announced.<\/p>\n

Check out this ‘slam dunk’ of a proposal at a Mercury basketball game.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The tournament is set to take place Feb. 2-8 at TPC Scottsdale.\u00a0<\/p>\n Scheffler won the tournament in 2022 and 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cScottie has been a great champion and long-time supporter of the WM Phoenix Open and the entire community,\u201d Tournament Chairman Jason Eisenberg said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Scheffler is coming off a 2025 season in which he recorded six victories, including major championships at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship.<\/p>\n \u201cHe earned his first career PGA TOUR win here. We are excited to welcome him back to Scottsdale. \u00a0We anticipate having another incredible field of players and can\u2019t wait to watch them tee it up in February,” Eisenberg added.<\/p>\n
