CHICAGO (WLS) — A woman died after she was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash<\/a> on the city’s West Side last month.<\/p>\n

Her daughter spoke to ABC7 as a reward is now being offered for information.<\/p>\n

The incident took place at about 1:39 a.m. Dec. 17 in the 3900 block of West 5th Avenue, near Pulaski, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

A person flagged officers to a 40-year-old woman lying in the middle of the street, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers found the woman, who was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was initially listed in critical condition. She later died from her injuries.<\/p>\n

The victim’s daughter, Hali Stapleton, spoke to ABC7 and identified her as Samantha Bragg. Her family is still seeking justice nearly one month after the crash.<\/p>\n

“It was all just a big shock, and how could somebody do that,” Stapleton said. ” We don’t even know how long she was laying in the road.”<\/p>\n

Cook County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of $1,000 for information in the hit-and-run that killed Bragg.<\/p>\n

No one is in custody and the Major Accidents Unit is investigating.<\/p>\n
