Gavin Newsom turn over a list of people and vendors getting money from three specific programs. <\/p>\n<p>ACF Secretary Alex J. Adams said in the letters that the federal government is concerned about \u201cthe potential for extensive and systemic fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese concerns have been heightened by recent federal prosecutions and additional allegations that substantial portions of federal resources were fraudulently diverted away from the American families they were intended to assist,\u201d Adams said in the letters, which were dated Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, ACF has reason to believe that the State of California is illicitly providing illegal aliens with\u2026benefits intended for American citizens and lawful permanent residents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The affected programs are the Golden State\u2019s Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, and the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) program.<\/p>\n<p>The CCDF and SSBG letters demanded California turn over \u201cverified attendance documentation\u201d for subsidized child care services,\u00a0including\u00a0logs of hours and payment info from providers.<\/p>\n<p>The TANF letter asked for recipients\u2019 names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50146628;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38121964\" width=\"886\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/us-president-donald-trump-reacts-118377514_8f76ed.jpg\" alt=\"US President Donald Trump reacts as he speaks at the House Republican Party (GOP) member retreat.\" class=\"wp-image-38121964\"  \/>The Trump administration is cutting off more than $10 billion in social services and child care funding meant for a handful of Democrat-led states, officials told The Post Monday. AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The demands come in the wake of a massive fraud scandal that rocked Minneapolis nonprofits linked to the Somali community, where scammers allegedly set up phony nonprofits so they could steal funds for social safety-net programs including homeless services and daycare.<\/p>\n<p>The federal government has claimed as much as $9 billion in funds have been misspent in Minnesota, where Gov.
