In this role, Bullock will lead Aerospace\u2019s technical organizations, guiding Aerospace as it works to solve the hardest technical problems and deliver on national priorities. She will start on Feb. 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlake brings extensive experience working across national security, civil and international space, and a demonstrated track record delivering systems of national importance,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospace.org\/person\/tanya-pemberton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tanya Pemberton<\/a>, Aerospace president and CEO. \u201cHer deep knowledge of our customers and their missions will accelerate Aerospace\u2019s efforts to bring differentiated technical solutions to the hardest problems facing our nation in space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As executive vice president, Bullock will lead a team of more than 3,700 engineers and scientists, comprising Aerospace\u2019s customer-facing organizations, engineering backplane, technology investment, and research and laboratory capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bullock most recently was vice president at Northrop Grumman leading military and missile defense space businesses. There, she was at the forefront of shaping next-generation architectures critical to our nation\u2019s continued security and leadership in space\u2014including satellite communications, overhead sensing, missile warning and missile defense, proliferated systems, and laser communications technology development. She has also been involved in flagship science missions including NASA\u2019s James Webb Space Telescope, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and the LCROSS robotic lunar spacecraft.<\/p>\n<p>At Northrop Grumman, Bullock served in positions of increasing responsibility involving systems engineering, strategic planning, business development and management, including as vice president of Communication Systems and vice president of National Security Systems.
