X\/@maxnesterak<\/p>\n<p>As one of the agents attempts to open the door, she quickly throws the car into reverse before trying to speed forward in the direction of another agent in her path.<\/p>\n<p>That agent dodges the SUV, swings around the side and fires three shots before the car crashes into a white sedan parked nearby on the side of the street\u00a0and comes to a stop.<\/p>\n<p>Another video\u00a0taken from\u00a0a different\u00a0angle appears to show the SUV strike the officer who fired the deadly shots as he leaps out of the path\u00a0of the rapidly accelerating vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said at a press conference Wednesday evening that the driver, Renee Nicole Good, had been \u201cstalking and impeding\u201d the\u00a0work of immigration agents \u201call throughout the day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very clear this individual was harassing and impeding law enforcement operations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The ICE agent seen in front of the Honda Pilot as it comes towards him. X<\/p>\n<p>President Trump said in a statement that the agent was hospitalized with injuries from the fracas, and that it\u2019s \u201chard to believe he\u2019s still alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hours later, Noem revealed the agent had been released from the hospital and was \u201cspending time with his loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Investigations are underway, but\u00a0Trump said in a statement that Good is the one at fault, and that the shooting was justified.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,\u201d he said in a post on Truth Social.<\/p>\n<p>Noem said the officer who opened fire was previously hit and dragged by a protester in June, and the shooting came as \u201cagitators\u201d tried to ram ICE agents with their cars in Minneapolis three times on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>The DHS honcho called Good\u2019s actions \u201cdomestic terrorist attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The dead woman was later identified as a 37-year-old Minneapolis transplant originally from Colorado Springs, Colo., who described herself as a mother, a wife and a poet.<\/p>\n<p>Her mother, Donna Ganger, told the Star Tribune she was \u201cone of the kindest people I have ever known.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scene of the shooting after the Pilot crashed. I have a 6-year-old in school,\u201d she said, telling a bystander that they were new to the area and she didn\u2019t know who to call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI made her come down here, it\u2019s my fault,\u201d she said. \u201cThey just shot my wife.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the latest on the Minneapolis ICE agent shooting<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses and protesters raged as the videos showing the deadly encounter from varying angles made the rounds online, with many questioning whether the officer\u2019s use of deadly force was necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Following the gunfire, a woman repeatedly screams \u201cno! no! What the f\u2013k? What the f\u2013k did you do? You\u2019re f\u2013king criminals!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the footage, blood-spattered snow can be seen as the woman apparently filming approaches the crashed SUV \u2014 where someone is seen leaning over the driver\u2019s side seat from outside the\u00a0vehicle, apparently attempting to render aid to the morally wounded driver.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the violent rioters weaponized her vehicle,\u201d the DHS alleges. Scootercaster\/FreedomNewsTV<\/p>\n<p>The deadly shooting comes amid the largest deployment of immigration agents \u2014 including some 2,000 officers across several agencies \u2014 since the start of President Trump\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n<p>A furious mob of protesters jammed the area around Portland Avenue and E. 34th Street where the shooting took place, which is less than a mile from where George Floyd died under the knee of former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Chauvin was convicted of murdering Floyd in 2021 and is serving a 21-year prison sentence.<\/p>\n<p>At an expletive-riddled news conference following the shooting, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey accused the agent who fired the deadly shots of acting recklessly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly: that is bulls\u2014t. This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying,\u201d he said, pledging a full investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo ICE: Get the f\u2014k out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being here is to create some kind of safety and you are doing exactly the opposite.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin said the incident happened while ICE was conducting \u201ctargeted operations\u201d when \u201cviolent rioters\u201d began blocking the streets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them \u2014 an act of domestic terrorism,\u201d she said in an X post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. Gov. Tim Walz fired back \u201cdon\u2019t believe this propaganda machine\u201d and promised the state will conduct \u201ca full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He urged protesters to remain peaceful, but later issued a \u201cwarning order\u201d to the Minnesota National Guard, ensuring they would be ready to be rapidly deployed if the growing protests spiral out of control.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic Rep.
