It\u2019s better to be safe than sorry …<\/a><\/p>\n

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight standouts, Nazim Sadykhov<\/strong> vs. Nikolas Motta<\/strong>, <\/strong>beat the snot out of each other<\/a> for two rounds earlier today (Sat., June 21, 2025) at UFC Baku<\/a> inside Baku Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

That is, of course, until Sadykhov knocked out Motta in the second round (watch highlights<\/a>).<\/p>\n

UFC company officials confirmed to MMAmania.com<\/a> that Motta was transported to a local Baku hospital after the fight for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face. The result of the CT scan is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n

The good news? The pair of 155-pound studs each banked an extra $100,000 \u2014 $50,000 for delivering the \u201cFight of the Night<\/a>\u201d and another $50,000 for turning in the \u201cPerformance of the Night.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Motta was notified of his big payday<\/a> in the hospital.<\/p>\n

In addition to Motta, UFC Baku\u2019s resident cheater<\/a>, Ismail Naurdiev<\/strong>, got transported after his loss to Jun-yong Park<\/strong> for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face.<\/p>\n

Naurdiev dropped a unanimous decision, but the fight was surrounded by controversy. Indeed, Park endured a barrage of fouls, which included eye pokes<\/a> in the first and second rounds, as well as a devastating illegal knee<\/a> that cost him two points \u2014 a rare sanction, seen only twice before in UFC history: Alex Caceres<\/strong> vs. <\/strong>Edwin Figueroa<\/strong> (UFC 143<\/a>) and Jon Jones<\/strong> vs. Anthony Smith<\/strong><\/a> (UFC 235<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Naurdiev\u2019s CT scan is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n
