SAN ANTONIO – Protestors took to the steps of San Antonio’s City Hall to speak out against the shooting death of 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n
Good is a U.S citizen who was shot by an ICE agent on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Protestors held a protest in front of city hall in honor of Renee Good. From Texas to Minnesota — they want the entire country to know her name.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
San Antonio demonstrators say she deserved better; and they’re condemning the agency for her death. They also lit candles in Good’s memory, calling her a sister in their fight for freedom for all.<\/p>\n

From the streets of San Antonio to Minneapolis, protesters said they’re fighting for all those who have been hurt, or killed, at the hands of ICE agents.<\/p>\n
“We’re protesting the way ICE has been terrorizing our streets the way it’s been terrorizing our people,” Jessica Solis with Party for Socialism and Liberation said.<\/p>\n
The shooting which killed Good was caught on video. It shows her being shot through her windshield; authorities and officials claim she tried to run an ICE agent over with her car.<\/p>\n
“The ICE officer, in an act of fearing for his life and those around him, fired defensive shots,” said US Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, who called the incident an act of domestic terrorism.<\/p>\n
Dozens of protestors disagreed. They honored Renee with a candlelight memorial at the City Hall steps. Many of them left notes while publicly calling on law enforcement to change their practices.<\/p>\n
“We’re going to stand up and fight harder than ever for our sister who was murdered in Minneapolis,” one speaker said. “We’re going to make sure that justice is served.”<\/p>\n
“There is no reform and fix where it’s happening,” Solis said. “This mass anti-immigration apparatus that has been being built is an atrocity. There is no normalizing it in our society.”<\/p>\n
Wednesday’s protests stayed peaceful as groups offered their condolences to Renee’s family.<\/p>\n
