{"id":501875,"date":"2026-01-08T18:09:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T18:09:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/501875\/"},"modified":"2026-01-08T18:09:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T18:09:10","slug":"fort-worth-firefighters-save-124-year-old-home-from-flames-officials-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/501875\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth firefighters save 124-year-old home from flames, officials say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A historic Fort Worth home was saved from major damage after firefighters put out a fire in less than 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>FORT WORTH, Texas \u2014 A 124-year-old house is still standing in a historic neighborhood in Fort Worth thanks to the work of the Fort Worth Fire Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters responded to a house fire around 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the 1800 block of Western Avenue, the Fort Worth Fire Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FortWorthFireDepartment\/posts\/1369542965210836?ref=embed_post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said in a social media post.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When crews arrived on the scene, they saw smoke coming from the eaves of a wooden, two-and-a-half-story home, the post reads. Firefighters began opening up the first and second floors to fight the fire in the attic, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The flames were brought under control in 20 minutes, the post states. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 124-year-old home is a staple of Western Avenue, which was once a part of Camp Bowie, officials say.
