{"id":502485,"date":"2026-01-09T00:03:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T00:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/502485\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T00:03:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T00:03:11","slug":"jason-momoa-dave-bautista-star-in-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/502485\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista Star in Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jason-momoa\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jason-momoa_1\" data-tag=\"jason-momoa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jason Momoa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/dave-bautista\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dave-bautista_1\" data-tag=\"dave-bautista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dave Bautista<\/a> don\u2019t have time for much brotherly love in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/trailer\/\" id=\"auto-tag_trailer_1\" data-tag=\"trailer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trailer<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/amazon-mgm-studios\/\" id=\"auto-tag_amazon-mgm-studios_1\" data-tag=\"amazon-mgm-studios\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon MGM Studios<\/a>\u2018 action-comedy feature The Wrecking Crew. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDirector \u00c1ngel Manuel Soto\u2019s movie is set to begin streaming via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/prime-video\/\" id=\"auto-tag_prime-video_1\" data-tag=\"prime-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prime Video<\/a> on Jan. 28. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/stephen-root\/\" id=\"auto-tag_stephen-root_1\" data-tag=\"stephen-root\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stephen Root<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/morena-baccarin\/\" id=\"auto-tag_morena-baccarin_1\" data-tag=\"morena-baccarin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morena Baccarin<\/a>, Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams and Miyavi round out the cast. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSet on Hawaii, The Wrecking Crew centers on estranged half-brothers Jonny (Momoa) and James (Bautista), who reluctantly reunite to investigate their father\u2019s mysterious death. They also learn that members of the yakuza are searching for them. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cYou blew up my car,\u201d an exasperated Bautista tells Momoa in the trailer. This leads Momoa to clarify, \u201cI blew up their car, and then it landed on yours.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSoto (Blue Beetle) helmed the film from a script by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jonathan-tropper\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jonathan-tropper_1\" data-tag=\"jonathan-tropper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonathan Tropper<\/a>. Momoa and Bautista serve as producers alongside Jeff Fierson, Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMomoa\u2019s recent credits include the hit feature A Minecraft Movie and the series Chief of War, and he can be seen later this year in such projects as Supergirl, Street Fighter and Dune: Part Three. Bautista has recently appeared in the features The Last Showgirl and Trap House.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSoto recently told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/entertainment\/movies\/a69765842\/jason-momoa-battles-dave-bautista-the-wrecking-crew-movie-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Esquire<\/a> that the dynamic in the film between Momoa and Bautista reflects their real-life personalities. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cJason brings this wild, crazy, unpredictable side,\u201d the filmmaker said. \u201cAnd Dave brings this disciplined, methodical, slow-burn intensity to him. And, well, they\u2019re both big. They have a lot of gravity. As men, they couldn\u2019t be more different from each other.
