{"id":503064,"date":"2026-01-09T05:47:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T05:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/503064\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T05:47:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T05:47:14","slug":"tsmc-buys-900-acres-of-arizona-state-land-at-auction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/503064\/","title":{"rendered":"TSMC buys 900 acres of Arizona state land at auction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TSMC bought 900 acres of Arizona State Trust Land at auction on Wednesday, teeing up an expansion of the chipmaker\u2019s site off Loop 303 and Interstate 17 in north Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>TSMC paid nearly $200 million for the parcel, which is planned to be part of the much larger NorthPark project that developers say will also include hiking trails and residential units.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix approved the development last month, which will almost double TSMC\u2019s footprint in the area and allow it to add new facilities.<\/p>\n<p>That expansion faced opposition at a council meeting last month, where residents wanted to keep the campus north of Loop 303.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Councilwoman Ann O\u2019Brien claimed the expansion will allow TSMC to generate thousands of jobs.
