\u201cI\u2019m glad you forgot about Randy Gregory, Mr. Glazer.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Denver-based NFL insider who has great contacts with agents let it slip on a Commandos-centric podcast earlier this week that Team Glazer called John Harbaugh\u2019s representatives moments after Team Glazer learned that Baltimore canned him.<\/p>\n

The call was to gauge his Harbaugh\u2019s interest in coming to the Bucs.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Allbright appeared on WDAE-AM 620 to discuss his intel. Allbright, who works for KOA-AM 850, said the conversation between Team Glazer and Harbaugh\u2019s people did take place<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conversation didn\u2019t get very far as Harbaugh\u2019s agent told Team Glazer that Harbaugh wanted to hire his own yes-man general manager wherever he lands. Team Glazer had no interest moving on from Bucs AC\/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey definitely made the inquiry there,\u201d Allbright said. \u201cAnd, you know, Harbaugh kind of let it know, you know, kind of what it is that he wants through his people.<\/p>\n

\u201cBryan Harlan is his agent. And, you know, they kind of let it be known, \u2018Hey, look, you know, this is what I\u2019m looking for.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201c[Team Glazer] realized fairly quickly, that that\u2019s not compatible with where they\u2019re at as an organization. They really like Jason Licht, and obviously Jason Licht has been a great general manager. \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they just decided, \u2018OK, well [Harbaugh] is a great coach, but he\u2019s kind of got a different vision with what he wants and where we\u2019re at. So we\u2019re going to keep our general manager and give him the opportunity to run it back with his head coach.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That\u2019s a helluva of a vote of confidence for Team Glazer to Licht.<\/p>\n

Joe has a hunch the way this shook out, Licht has more job security than Todd Bowles.
