Deputies say a man was taken into custody after climbing onto the roof of a restaurant along the Katy Freeway, bringing the incident to an end.<\/p>\n
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas \u2014 Members of the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office Crisis Intervention Team and SWAT responded to an incident at a restaurant along the Katy Freeway, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.<\/p>\n
In a social media post, Gonzalez said deputies were called to a restaurant located at 19300 Katy Freeway near Fry Road.<\/p>\n
According to the sheriff, a male had climbed onto the roof of the building and was initially refusing to come down, prompting authorities to evacuate the business.<\/p>\n
In an update, Gonzalez said the man later climbed to a lower level and was taken into custody, bringing the incident to an end.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez said the man is believed to have an open felony warrant from another county, though no additional details about the individual or the warrant were immediately released.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not said what led up to the incident.<\/p>\n
