Marie Police were called to a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night<\/p>\n<p>Impaired driving charges have been laid after a single-vehicle crash earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to the area of Wellington Street East and East Street just before 8 p.m. Wednesday where they found a vehicle stuck in a snowbank.<\/p>\n<p>Officers suspected the driver may be impaired and say multiple breath samples registered above the legal limit.<\/p>\n<p>Craig Murphy, 38, has been charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Operation While Impaired \u2013 Alcohol and\/or Drug<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Operation While Impaired \u2013 Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Dangerous Operation<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fail to Surrender Insurance Card (under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle (under the Highway Traffic Act)<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until\u00a0proven guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sault Ste.
