Officials say the driver stopped at first, but then fled, leading to a pursuit involving multiple DPS units.<\/p>\n<p>Near I-35 and Walzem, the driver allegedly tried to hit a DPS patrol vehicle, but lost control, hit a concrete barrier and collided with a commercial trailer.<\/p>\n<p>The driver has been identified as 30-year-old George Gutierrez. Officials say he had an active warrant. In addition, he faces charges of evading arrest, aggravated assault against a peace officer with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance (meth) and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.<\/p>\n<p>A rear passenger, 36-year-old Renee Vasquez, was also arrested on multiple warrants.<\/p>\n<p>A third passenger allegedly provided a false ID and has not been positively identified.
