Prophet and President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will dedicate the Burley Idaho Temple on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He will be accompanied by his wife, Kristen, along with several Church leaders:\u00a0Elder Steven R. Bangerter, Executive Director of the Temple Department, and his wife, Susan; Elder\u00a0Elder Jos\u00e9 A. Teixeira, United States Central Area President, and his wife,\u00a0Filomena; and Elder K. Brett Nattress, General Authority Seventy, and his wife, Shawna.<\/p>\n
The dedication ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. MST and will be broadcast to all congregations within the temple district.<\/p>\n

Prior to the dedication, the public was invited to tour the sacred structure<\/a> for more than two weeks. The open house concluded on\u00a0November 22, 2025.<\/p>\n The Burley Idaho Temple was announced<\/a> by then Church President Russell M. Nelson at the April 2021 general conference.<\/p>\n Ground was broken<\/a> for the temple on June 4, 2022. The two-story temple of approximately 45,300 square feet stands on a 10.1-acre site at 40 South 150 East, Burley, ID 83318.<\/p>\n The Burley Idaho Temple will be the 11th temple announced, under construction or in operation in Idaho, which is home to more than 480,000 Latter-day Saints in approximately 1,275 congregations. Other temple locations in the state include Boise<\/a>, Caldwell<\/a>, Coeur d\u2019Alene<\/a>, Idaho Falls<\/a>, Meridian<\/a>, Montpelier<\/a>, Pocatello<\/a>, Rexburg<\/a>, Teton River<\/a> and Twin Falls<\/a>.<\/p>\n
