One lifelong Jacksonville Jaguars fan love for the team turned a social media insult into a life changing encounter.<\/p>\n
Every time the Jacksonville Jaguars take the field, Eric Dunn is in the stands cheering on the team he\u2019s loved since childhood.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went to my first game in 2003 and have been a fan ever since,\u201d said Dunn.<\/p>\n
Dunn’s been cheering on the Jags since he was eight, never caring where he sat, just happy to be inside the stadium.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce you\u2019re inside a Jags stadium the atmosphere is what you\u2019re there for.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the game against the Titans January 4th, Dunn posted a picture of himself at the game on social media platform x.<\/p>\n
30 minutes later he noticed a comment, seemingly mocking him for where he was sitting and calling him broke.<\/p>\n
Rather than backing down, Dunn leaned in, heading even higher up in the stands of Everbank Stadium to snap another photo, posting it with the caption \u201cAFC South Champs Baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
His loyalty to his team didn\u2019t go unnoticed.<\/p>\n
Ashley Coen, \u00a0the wife of Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, responded to Dunn’s post saying \u201cGot two tickets with your name on it for Sunday!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI replied to her saying this is an honor,\u201d said Dunn, \u201cI just want to thank Ashley Coen for even giving me this opportunity because she didn\u2019t have to at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dunn told First Coast News this all feels like a full circle moment.<\/p>\n
Back in May 2025, he met Jaguars head coach Liam Coen at an event at the Jacksonville Zoo. He wished him luck this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember telling him good luck this season, the city truly needs it. So this is kind of a full circle moment for myself,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now interacting with the Coens who he refers to as the first family.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President and First Lady of Duval.”<\/p>\n
No matter where he\u2019s sitting. Eric Dunn said he\u2019ll keep showing up and cheering loudly for the Jacksonville Jaguars.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe development, the success of the franchise it\u2019s historic and it just feels good to be in this position because it\u2019s something the city\u2019s been waiting for and its residents have been waiting for their entire lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
