The cast has been with the show since its West End run.<\/p>\n

Soon their journey will be done. The original Broadway cast of\u00a0Operation Mincemeat<\/a>\u00a0have announced their final performance dates. These agents’ final mission will take place February 22 at the Golden Theatre. The cast members have been with the musical since its West End run.<\/p>\n

The departing cast members are\u00a0David Cumming<\/a>, Natasha Hodgson<\/a>, Zo\u00eb Roberts<\/a>,\u00a0Claire-Marie Hall<\/a>, and Jak Malone<\/a> (who won a Tony for his performance in the show). A new cast will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

The musical is the work of U.K. comedy group SpitLip<\/a>, which comprises Cumming,\u00a0 Hodgson, Roberts, and\u00a0Felix Hagan<\/a>\u2014who took the lead on the project’s music.<\/p>\n

The show tells a wacky, stranger-than-fiction story that is somehow completely true, following a World War II scheme in which British Intelligence officials dressed up a corpse as an officer in the Royal Marines in order to fool the German government into believing an Allied attack on Sicily was imminent, covering up their true plans to invade Greece and Sardinia in the process. Spoiler alert\u2014it actually worked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The show’s understudies are Brandon Contreras<\/a>, Sam Hartley<\/a>, Jessi Kirtley<\/a>, Gerianne P\u00e9rez, and Amanda Jill Robinson<\/a>. Casting is by Carrie Gardner<\/a> of C12 Casting. U.K. casting is by Pearson Casting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also back for the Broadway bow is director Robert Hastie<\/a>, who’s reunited his full London creative team, including choreographer Jenny Arnold<\/a>, music director and supervisor Joe Bunker<\/a>, orchestrator Steve Sidwell<\/a>, set and costume designer Ben Stones<\/a>, lighting designer Mark Henderson<\/a>, and sound designer Mike Walker<\/a>. Karen Moore<\/a> serves as production stage manager.<\/p>\n

The production is offering $39 tickets via a digital lottery program (enter at Rush.Telecharge.com) and $49 rush tickets in person daily at the Golden Theatre box office.<\/p>\n

The Broadway run is produced by Avalon in association with SpitLip. Andrew Fell<\/a> serves as executive producer.<\/p>\n
