But it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonpublicmedia.org\/articles\/news\/houston\/2025\/10\/23\/534077\/fleet-week-houston-postponed-government-shutdown-mayor-john-whitmire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">postponed because of the federal government shutdown<\/a>, which was the longest in U.S. history before ending Nov. 13.<\/p>\n<p>The first Fleet Week in Houston \u2013 and for the state of Texas \u2013 has been rescheduled for April 15-22, City of Houston officials <a href=\"https:\/\/fleetweekhouston.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced this week<\/a>.
