The Back to the Beginning show raised nearly $200 million dollars in charity funds for three separate organizations, according to Rage Against the Machine\u2019s Tom Morello, who also acted as music director for the all-day event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tMorello shared the good news on Instagram. \u201cWe set out to not just create the greatest day in the history of heavy metal,\u201d Morello wrote in his caption. \u201cWe raised a ton of money for a great cause and so many great musicians and bands and fans all over the world paid tribute to the all time greats,\u201d the musician added.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t40,000 attendees descended upon Osbourne\u2019s and Black Sabbath\u2019s old stomping grounds with 5.8 million people streaming the concert online, as reported by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2025\/jul\/06\/black-sabbath-and-ozzy-osbourne-back-to-the-beginning-review-all-star-farewell-to-the-gods-of-metal-is-epic-and-emotional\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2025\/jul\/06\/black-sabbath-and-ozzy-osbourne-back-to-the-beginning-review-all-star-farewell-to-the-gods-of-metal-is-epic-and-emotional\">The Guardian<\/a>. With every member of the star-studded lineup playing the festival pro bono, all proceeds went to charity. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c5y737gjvx3o\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c5y737gjvx3o\" target=\"_blank\">BBC<\/a> reported the organizations receiving the funds are Cure Parkinson\u2019s, Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital, and Acorn Children\u2019s Hospice. Both Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have supported Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital in the past; while Cure Parkinson\u2019s is a cause the pair hold close to their hearts after Ozzy\u2019s 2019 year diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhile the charities have yet to receive a breakdown of numbers, each organization has been notified of their good fortune and already on their way to praising the Prince of Darkness.
