Thomas Tuchel<\/a> has been viewed as a potential candidate to succeed Ruben Amorim<\/a> as the next permanent Manchester United manager<\/a> in the summer.<\/p>\n

Ineos<\/a> and Sir Jim Ratcliffe<\/a> are big fans of the 52-year-old England manager and Tuchel was approached about the United<\/a> role in the past during Erik ten Hag<\/a>\u2019s reign.<\/p>\n

Tuchel ultimately chose not to come to United<\/a> in 2024 after Ineos\u2019 end-of-season review was completed and Erik ten Hag remained in charge until he was sacked.<\/p>\n

The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain manager would instead succeed former Three Lions boss Sir Gareth Southgate<\/a> as England head coach in 2025.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim\u2019s dismissal as Manchester United coach<\/a> on Monday has seen several managers already linked with the club, including Bournemouth\u2019s Andoni Iraola.<\/p>\n

Andoni Iraola<\/a> has been namechecked as one potential candidate to succeed Amorim as United manager at the end of the 2025-26 Premier League season.<\/p>\n

Declan Rice, who has been managed by Thomas Tuchel on the international stage, recently crossed paths with Bournemouth head coach Iraola in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Arsenal defeated the Cherries 3-2 at the Vitality Stadium last Saturday and Rice was impressed with the tactical approach that Iraola adopted against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were one-nil down to Bournemouth, a really good half,\u201d he told Sky Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was hard, the manager is amazing [with] the way they press [and] the way they run.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, to go there and win, after not the best first-half performance, but [the] second half [was] much improved.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was massive and where you can chip in and help the team, I think it\u2019s massive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andoni Iraola could become a serious Man Utd candidate amid England manager Thomas Tuchel\u2019s situation<\/strong><\/p>\n

England announced Tuchel as their next head coach in 2024 and the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager is under contract for 18 months with the Three Lions.<\/p>\n

United could have to wait until the aftermath of the 2026 World Cup in North America to begin formal talks with Three Lions boss Tuchel.<\/p>\n

Tuchel will be out of contract at the end of the World Cup tournament and it remains unclear if the English FA will award him a new deal for the long term.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s pursuit of Tuchel could be in vain if the Red Devils wait until the later stages of the World Cup to sign him, only for him to later commit to England.<\/p>\n

Andoni Iraola, much like Tuchel, is tried and tested in the Premier League, but he could also be a much-needed alternative to the German for United at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
