On Thursday, January 8, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 2200 block of David Drive.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived on scene and located one adult male inside a vehicle. The victim sustained several gunshot wounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Officers rendered medical aid until Fort Worth Fire and EMS arrived to assist with medical treatment. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.<\/p>\n

Preliminary details are very limited at this time, police say. Homicide detectives are actively investigating.<\/p>\n

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death and confirm the identity of the victim.<\/p>\n
