<\/a><\/p>\nNYC Councilmember Joann Ariola posted on social media that there may have been an altercation at a nearby pizzeria that led to a fight.<\/p>\n
Argudo initially tried to run from his attacker, but was unable to get away.<\/p>\n
He and his assailant continued to exchange words, apparently after he had been wounded.<\/p>\n
Minutes later, Argudo was compelled to sit down on a neighbor’s front wall and witness Sean K. found him slumped over.<\/p>\n
“Everyone was giving him CPR. Our neighbor. And there was blood all over his shirt. And unfortunately, he looked unresponsive,” witness Sean K. said.<\/p>\n
Argudo was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
“Seeing the victim on the floor — it was heartbreaking. It was very sad,” Sean K. said.<\/p>\n
“It brought tears to my eyes. I felt bad because his sister, and it seemed two people, were crying and holding him. It was a very emotional scene,” another eyewitness said.<\/p>\n
Neighbors were heartbroken after hearing what had happened.<\/p>\n
“It makes you think, you know? Could be your kid one day getting in trouble, some way, somehow. Bad kids. Bad people following your son. I was upset,” Woodhaven resident Isidro Mejia said.<\/p>\n
The suspect seen on surveillance video was wearing all black and was covered up from head to toe.<\/p>\n
Police said some sharp object was used to slash the boy.<\/p>\n
“How horrible it is — I’ve lived here since 1989. I’ve seen lots of things happen on this block. Anything like this has never happened before,” Sean K. said.<\/p>\n
The relationship between the suspect on video and Argudo is unclear.<\/p>\n
There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
