HOUSTON \u2014 The reports of Arnaldo Richards’ Picos Restaurant\u2019s imminent demise appear to have been greatly exaggerated.<\/p>\n
The beloved Upper Kirby Mexican restaurant previously announced that it would be closing after 42 years in business<\/a>. However, the restaurant announced Jan. 8 that it will no longer be closing; it will relocate instead.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the restaurant told the Houston Business Journal the new location has not yet been determined. But based on the huge public show of support after Picos announced in August that it would be shutting down, the restaurant will continue to operate in a new spot.<\/p>\n Picos previously announced in September that it hoped to remain open as long as possible<\/a> to help its employees get through the holidays.
