When a cow<\/a> is expecting, both the herd and the humans who care for her eagerly watch and wait for the new baby to arrive. Hot Mess Ranch had been counting down the days for their cow, Rita, to give birth, and when farmer Steven Purcell headed out to the pasture and realized the moment had finally come, he was just as excited as she was!<\/p>\n

Make sure your sound is on as Steven meets the newborn, because Mama Rita has a lot to say about it, and so does he. You can tell they\u2019re both thrilled about the new arrival, and Rita wastes no time getting her baby cleaned up. It\u2019s one of the cutest things you\u2019ll watch today!<\/p>\n

Steven<\/a> said in the caption, “We are very excited to announce that Rita had her baby calf<\/a>!!! The wait is finally over!” We’re so glad he was able to share the sweet moment with the rest of us!<\/p>\n

Sweet Reactions to Rita and Her New Calf<\/p>\n

Commenters adored meeting Rita’s new baby and had a lot to say about it. @Pony Girl 92 shared, “Awe, she\u2019s like, ‘Dad, look what I did!!’ Good girl Rita!” Steven replied, “She always shows me her new babies<\/a> like this!” This makes us want to get a farm and have cows!<\/p>\n

@kenny said, “A cow named Rita is the best thing!”, and Steven responded, “She is the best queen cow of the ranch!”<\/p>\n

We agreed with @mrs_sixstones when she shared, “New babies<\/a> will never not be exciting!!” @Kayla Reckart added, “Rita im like a proud auntie right now. You did so good, mama!”<\/p>\n

Since this video was shared just days ago, Steven has posted a few updates, including clips of other baby calves coming over to meet the newborn, plus an announcement that the little one is a bull calf<\/a>. Now they\u2019re asking for name suggestions, and that\u2019s always the fun part of welcoming a new baby home.
