in Minneapolis.<\/a><\/p>\nArmed with signs and emotion, demonstrators gathered to voice outrage over the death of 37-year-old Ren\u00e9e Nicole Good, a mother and community member who was shot and killed earlier this week during an encounter with ICE in Minnesota.<\/p>\n
Among those in Fort Worth were Randy and Noah Garms, who said they felt compelled to speak out.<\/p>\n
\u201cA loss of life is always tragic,\u201d Randy Garms said.<\/p>\n
Others echoed similar sentiments, saying video of the incident only intensified their anger.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat happened was uncalled for, it was filmed,\u201d Noah Garms said.<\/p>\n
Federal officials said an ICE agent shot Good after authorities say she used her vehicle as a weapon. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have said the agent acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n
The shooting has sparked protests nationwide under the banner \u201cICE Out for Good,\u201d with demonstrations taking place in cities across the country including North Texas.<\/p>\n
In Fort Worth, protesters said the moment felt deeply personal.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy stomach is really in a knot right now,\u201d said Ryan Vancleave. \u201cI feel like it\u2019s important to be out here and be supportive and face the facts of what\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
Similar scenes unfolded in Southlake, where demonstrators criticized both the shooting itself and how it unfolded.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was totally, totally wrong on so many levels,\u201d one protester said. \u201cStanding in front of a car, pulling your gun while you\u2019re holding your phone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Across locations, demonstrators said their message was consistent: accountability.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was a regular person,\u201d one protester said. \u201cAnd this should not be happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
