Dubois was an Indigenous social worker who was at the hospital for cancer treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/healthiq.jpg\" alt=\"Receive the latest medical news and health information delivered to you every Sunday.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tGet weekly health news<\/p>\n<p>Receive the latest medical news and health information delivered to you every Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/saskatchewan-health-authority\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saskatchewan Health Authority<\/a> (SHA) says that on Friday, staff called security after safety concerns involving an admitted patient were reported. Once security officers arrived, a physical altercation occurred, during which Dubois became unresponsive. Staff rushed to his aid, but it was too late.<\/p>\n<p>The SHA says it has contacted the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) to help support the patient\u2019s family.
