PHOENIX \u2014 A family dog was rescued from a house fire in south Phoenix, the city’s fire department said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Phoenix firefighters responded to a home in Laveen near 67th Avenue and Baseline Road around 5:45 p.m. for reports of a house fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage of a two-story home when they arrived. The family dog was rescued from inside the home, the fire department said.<\/p>\n
The fire was extinguished quickly, the fire department said. The family of four and their dog will be displaced; however, no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
