I really was so thoughtful about how I wanted to talk about the election because I think it turns into a distraction from a campaign. It turns into fodder. It\u2019s misunderstood. You have no control over it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tParker voiced that there are \u201cso many ways\u201d to motivate political change outside of posting online. She pointed out that politics went on for decades before the invention of social media and pulled an example from history, adding, \u201cFDR was elected without social media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDespite fans urging her to \u201cbe vocal\u201d online, she feels more \u201ccomfortable\u201d tackling social issues on her own terms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not going to talk about stuff that I don\u2019t feel educated on,\u201d Parker said. \u201cI\u2019m not going to jump in on really complex areas that I feel are deserving of far more thought, consideration, nuance \u2014 which I know no one\u2019s interested in. And I just feel like I want to be helpful.
