(File photo by Chris Stone\/Times of San Diego)<\/p>\n<p>The city of San Diego\u2019s inclement weather shelter program for those experiencing homelessness has been activated by the San Diego Housing Commission for Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The program opens additional shelters, generally through the months of November to March, when the weather is exceptionally wet or cold. <\/p>\n<p>A wind advisory issued by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/sgx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Weather Service<\/a> was expected to remain in effect until 2 p.m. Monday, with overnight low temperatures expected to dip below 45 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The following shelters have been activated:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Father Joe\u2019s Villages, Joan Kroc Center, 1501 Imperial Ave., capacity for up to 61 adults and an additional 11 beds for families with minor children and\/or single women. Check-In: 4 p.m., throughout the night until full. Check-Out: 5 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Paul Mirabile Center, 1501 Imperial Ave., capacity up to 62 adults. Check-In: 4 p.m., throughout the night until full. Check-Out: 5 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Living Water Church of the Nazarene, 1550 Market St., capacity up to 28 adults. On-site Reservations: 1-4 p.m. Check-In: 8 p.m. for clients with reservations. Check-Out: 6:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Inclement Weather Shelter Program is a partnership of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sdhc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Diego Housing Commission<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiego.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">city of San Diego<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/my.neighbor.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Father Joe\u2019s Villages<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/my.neighbor.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Living Water Church of the Nazarene<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT\n\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A homeless tent near a freeway.
