\"HoustonHOUSTON \u2013<\/strong> For the second straight season, the University of Houston Men’s Basketball program will wear Houston Blue<\/strong> during a home game inside Fertitta Center.
\n\u00a0
\nThe seventh-ranked Cougars will unveil their 2025-26 Houston Blue<\/strong> uniforms against Big 12 Conference-rival West Virginia with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, inside Fertitta Center. For the first time, Houston will wear primarily white uniforms with Houston Blue<\/strong> as an accent color.
\n\u00a0
\nAll fans are encouraged to join the fun and wear their Houston Blue merchandise to Tuesday’s game. Houston Blue<\/strong> merchandise will be available to purchase inside the Team Shop in Fertitta Center.
\n\u00a0
\nUniversity of Houston Athletics, in paying homage to the City of Houston, adopted Houston Blue<\/strong> into its uniform selections with teams wearing commemorative uniforms on select occasions.
\n\u00a0
\nHouston Blue<\/strong> made its Men’s Basketball debut during the 2024-25 season.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the Fall 2024, Houston Football sported Houston Blue<\/strong> uniforms against in-state rival Baylor inside TDECU Stadium. Houston Volleyball unveiled its new Houston Blue<\/strong> jerseys against Texas Tech while Houston Women’s Golf wore its colors early during its Fall season.

\nHOUSTON BLUE in the BAYOU CITY<\/strong>
\nHouston Blue’s history in the Bayou City includes a decorated history inside \u2013 and outside \u2013 the sports arena.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the early 1920s, the City of Houston’s original street markers were installed as light blue, and white tiles were fitted into drying cement curbs, with approximately 4,000 still in existence today.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the 1960s, the Houston Police Department began using the color on their cars.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Houston Buffs, the city’s minor league baseball team (eventually replaced by the Colt .45s in 1962), sported blue lettering on white or gray jerseys. In 1960, the team wore blue caps with a white “H” on the front. In 1961, their jerseys featured light blue lettering.
\n\u00a0

\nSingle-game home tickets<\/strong><\/a> for all games inside Fertitta Center are now on sale, and fans are encouraged to purchase quickly while supplies last. The two-time defending Big 12 Conference Champions, Houston will play host to eight more conference games in 2025-26.
