The Federal Aviation Administration is giving the San Antonio International Airport a $13.3 million Airport Infrastructure Grant to aid the airport\u2019s major expansion already underway.<\/p>\n
SAT\u2019s $2.5 billion expansion<\/a> is currently in Phase 4 of construction, which includes excavation; drilled piers; mechanical, electrical and plumbing work; and baggage-handling systems. <\/p>\n The expansion will add 17 new domestic and international gates and about 850,000 square feet of terminal space.
