{"id":510993,"date":"2026-01-12T14:19:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T14:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/510993\/"},"modified":"2026-01-12T14:19:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T14:19:09","slug":"txdot-shares-update-on-i-10-white-oak-bayou-project-west-of-downtown-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/510993\/","title":{"rendered":"TxDOT shares update on I-10 White Oak Bayou project west of downtown Houston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TxDOT says work to raise I-10 over White Oak Bayou is moving steadily, with paving, demolition, and ramp work continuing west of downtown Houston.<\/p>\n<p>HOUSTON \u2014 The Texas Department of Transportation says work on the White Oak Bayou construction project along I-10 just west of downtown Houston is continuing at a solid pace.<\/p>\n<p>The long-term project is designed to raise this stretch of Interstate 10 over White Oak Bayou, reducing the risk of flooding on the freeway during heavy rain events.<\/p>\n<p>According to TxDOT, crews are currently finishing right-lane paving on the westbound frontage road between Columbia and Studemont. At the same time, crews are continuing bridge deck paving for the far-right westbound I-10 main lanes.<\/p>\n<p>Additional work underway includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continued demolition of the existing westbound I-10 right lanes<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing demolition of the eastbound\/northbound direct connector<\/li>\n<li>Installation of rail along the main lanes<\/li>\n<li>Continued installation of the Taylor Street entrance and exit ramps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While the construction activity remains busy, TxDOT says the work reflects steady forward progress on the project.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say updates will continue as construction advances and the project moves closer to completion.<\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"isPasted\">Got a news tip or story idea?
