Isolated and depressed, Carol becomes determined to disrupt this \u201cpeaceful\u201d new society. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeehorn confirmed the team are \u201cback in the writers room\u201d and that Gilligan is keen to get started on Season 2. \u201cI know he wants us to go as soon as possible,\u201d she said. \u201cHe\u2019s not playing any kind of game to make people wait for this. But he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we\u2019ll get back as fast as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote pullquote-deadline larva \/\/  \">\n<p>Vince is not trying to make a political statement. He\u2019s actually just trying to say something about being human and what real love is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/rhea-seehorn\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rhea-seehorn\" data-tag=\"rhea-seehorn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rhea Seehorn<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeehorn also said she felt it was important to her \u201cto honor getting the chance to play anybody from the LGBTQ community,\u201d but that she loves that this is not \u201cthe remarkable thing\u201d about Carol. \u201cIt is part of who she is as a human being, and her relationship with her wife that she\u2019s lost is given so much weight because it is a partnership of love. Vince is not trying to make a political statement. He\u2019s actually just trying to say something about being human and what real love is. So I don\u2019t actually know them. It\u2019s been funny listening to people, and then also sometimes it\u2019s been very touching. I had a journalist the other day say that she thought the entire show was a metaphor for grief and depression, and, you know, being down a well that you can\u2019t hear other people saying, \u2018Cheer up,\u2019 and you can\u2019t relate to them at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tShe continued, \u201c[People are] meeting the show where they\u2019re at, whether it\u2019s fear of AI or it\u2019s isolation, or it\u2019s political divisiveness or feeling there\u2019s too much anger in the world. It\u2019s engendering a lot of conversations, and I very much appreciate and hope that Vince continues to foster the conversation rather than preach an answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs for her rejecting the idea of a hive-mind herself, Seehorn did say that some aspects of it would be positive. \u201cI\u2019d love no wars,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019d love peace. I told somebody the other day, \u2018I think the best version would be if we\u2019re allowed to do week-on, week-off. I\u2019m a step parent, and I\u2019m week-on, week-off with my kids, and so I think if you can week-on, week-off with hive-mind, everybody\u2019s peaceful, everybody\u2019s nice.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Season 2 of Pluribus is coming your way as fast as possible.
