CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city’s South Side.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at about 11:08 p.m. on Sunday in the 6700-block of S. Langley Avenue, police said.<\/p>\n

A 31-year-old woman was in a vehicle when police said a shooter approached from the street.<\/p>\n

The suspect started shooting in the vehicle’s direction.<\/p>\n

The woman was shot in the head; she died at the University of Chicago Hospital, according to police.<\/p>\n

It was not known if she was the only person in the car.<\/p>\n

Nobody is in custody. Chicago police are investigating.<\/p>\n
